You know who is coming off REALLY terribly in this situation (aside from the obvious)?

Italy.

Unfortunately, Italy is run by a truly miserable example of humanity, so appealing to his sense of shame will probably not succeed.

A law under consideration in South Dakota would expand the definition of "justifiable homicide" to include killings that are intended to prevent harm to a fetus-a move that could make it legal to kill doctors who perform abortions.

I just finished listening to the audiobook of Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime by Heilemann and Halperin. It was really fascinating - it was compiled with hundreds of anonymous sources, so no one is cited. Nevertheless, it certainly has an air of authenticity. The truth is that I don't listen to the radio very often, even now that I have an iPod with a radio. When I do listen to the radio, it's to NPR. I'm a policy nerd, I have to know what's going on in current events.
